Rhea Chakraborty on her workout routine, eating habits and spiritual quotient…
I love to mix up my exercises. I prefer yoga every morning. I also do high intensity interval training, kick-boxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)—this I decide after I wake up in the morning. My routine depends on what I feel my body needs for the day. Weekends I usually reserve for my swim and dance classes. Basically, I do anything that makes me sweat. I follow a simple mantra: train like a beast, look like a beauty.
I start my day with warm water and lime. I usually eat anything that’s home-cooked and fresh. I’m not a fan of processed foods. Breakfast is usually omelette, fruits and dry fruits. Lunch is fish, brown rice, sweet potatoes and veggies. Through the day I keep drinking water with lime, and coconut water. Dinner is rotis and fish with veggies. I eat burgers and pizzas and pastas a lot, but only if it is freshly prepared and not processed meats.
Tip: Don’t drink water in between or after your meals for 45 minutes. If at all, have a few sips of warm water and lime. I also believe eating dark chocolate everyday keeps the fat away!
I listen to music all day. I also believe it gives my life a background score! Yoga helps me regain center and balance. I try and meditate everyday for 20 minutes first thing in the morning. Also, when the days are stressful, I surround myself with happy people. Smiling keeps the stress away.
