Rupali Suri is Opening Doorz on her Workout Routine, Eating Habits, and Spiritual Quotient…

Workout Routine

I am committed to maintaining a fit and healthy body. I engage in weight training twice a week, focusing on building strength and toning my muscles. However, my preference leans towards floor exercises, which I find more enjoyable and effective for my fitness goals. These exercises often involve bodyweight movements that enhance core strength, flexibility, and balance.

In addition to conventional workouts, I love to incorporate dance into my daily routine. Dance is not just a form of exercise, it is a passion and a significant part of my life. I am particularly fond of Kathak, a classical Indian dance form that requires rigorous practice and precision. This form of dance is not only a great workout but also a way to stay connected to my cultural roots.

My fitness routine is further enriched with my love for pole fitness. Pole fitness is an intense workout that combines strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises. It is a full-body workout that challenges me physically and mentally, keeping me agile and fit. The combination of weight training, floor exercises, dance, and pole fitness ensures that my workout routine is diverse and effective.

Eating Habits

My dietary habits reflect my preference for simplicity in nutrition. I enjoy home-cooked meals. My diet is rich in vegetables, which provide essential vitamins and minerals. Protein is also an integral part which I source from pulses, eggs, curd, and fish. These protein sources are crucial for muscle repair and growth, especially given my intensive workout routine.

I ensure that I have two main meals in a day–well-balanced and nutrient-dense. For dinner, I prefer lighter options like soup and salad, which are easy to digest. Hydration is another key aspect for me. I drink plenty of water throughout the day, which aids in digestion, detoxification, and overall health.

During the summer months, I ensure that I have my daily dose of chia seed water and barley water. Chia seeds are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and fiber, making them a great addition to my hydration routine. Barley water, known for its cooling properties and benefits for digestion, is an excellent choice for me for the hotter months.

Spiritual Quotient

My spirituality is deeply intertwined with my physical activities, particularly dance and pole fitness routines. These activities are more than just workouts for me; they are stress busters that help me maintain mental clarity and emotional balance. When I am learning and practicing Kathak or engaging in pole fitness, I am completely focused and immersed in the moment. This mindfulness during physical activity is a form of meditation that helps me stay focused.

Evening walks are another spiritual practice that I enjoy. These walks are an opportunity for me to connect with nature, unwind, and reflect on my day. Watching the sunset during these walks brings me a sense of peace and tranquility. Enjoying a favorite ice-cream when I am stressed is my way of getting into the ‘chill zone’.
