Hrishitaa Bhatt is Opening Doorz on her workout routine, eating habits and spiritual quotient…

Workout Routine

Since childhood I’ve been a dancer and an athlete. I trained in Kathak and Jazz and played basketball, handball and many other sports during my school and college days. I’ve always been into fitness and health. I still do my dance riaz (dance training) and yoga. I also do my workouts but not intense training.

Eating Habits

As far as food is concerned I’m not a foodie but my favourite cuisine is oriental and continental. I have a terrible sweet tooth! Since childhood, I ate non-vegetarian food but at around the age of 19-20 I turned vegetarian (not for weight loss or health but just as a choice). I believe that it is the quality of food that one eats than the quantity that matters. And most importantly, eat when hungry. A lot of us mix our feeling of thirst or sleep with the feeling of hunger. I eat a lot of fruits during the day and snack on nuts, salads, soups, or sandwiches. I eat one proper meal (mostly dinner) which balances the carbs, protein and fibre in the form of dal, sprouts, vegetables, etc. I drink a lot of water 4-5 litres a day! I think each body type is different and a diet that suits one might not suit another.

Spiritual Quotient

I’ve always been a believer in spirituality and believe each of us must take care of our overall health which includes body mind and soul. Dance, yoga and meditation keep me both balanced and calm. My life mantra is to be positive and live in the present (not past or future) and experience each moment to the fullest!
