Sucheta Sharma James on her workout routine, eating habits and spiritual quotient…
Workout Routine
I train 4-5 times a week with My Fitness Trainer/husband Harrison James. We have a fantastic Fitness Studio located in Santacruz (West), in Mumbai. My training includes an overall body workout comprising push-ups, squats, lunges, sit-ups, jumps and kick-boxing in different variations. Harrison customizes exercise according to my upcoming projects but the core of my exercise remains the same: Kill it!
Eating Habits
I believe in eating seasonal foods grown in our locality. A) They are cheaper and B) They benefit the body the most. My breakfast includes eggs and bread. Lunch and dinner is dal (pulses) sabzi (vegetable), roti and rice. I eat according to my appetite and I don’t follow the ‘no carbs post sundown’ concept. I believe in healthy eating when hungry and using food as fuel while working out. I also add seasonal fruits and dry nuts for extra health benefits to my daily food routine. My water intake is quite good (6-10 glasses) depending on the weather and my work schedule.
Spiritual Quotient
I follow the ‘stay healthy, stay positive’ rule. I believe junk food is negative food which makes us feel depressed. Wrong substance in our body, slackens our pace and makes us dependent on them for partial happiness. Exercise and food is the key to stay blissful. If you ask me anything related to God, I would say God is present everywhere in the form of small opportunities as in how you can help those in need. Any selfless act can make you feel high and connected to the ultimate power of the universe. Be the eyes, ears and heart for others and you will realize how we all are connected with everyone!
