I start my day with half a bottle of water: it’s a Japanese therapy where they say at night your mouth creates saliva that is self-healing and can cure any disease that your body incurs, so you should drink it in.
Pavleen Gujral on her workout routine, eating habits and spiritual quotient…
Workout Routine My workout routine keeps alternating depending on the physical activity I engage in during that period of time. I prefer doing different forms of exercises in order not to let the boredom seep in. These days, I am doing a lot kickboxing and strength training. I also try to squeeze in some stretching and breathing exercises. Apart from that, I lead a very active life in New Delhi, India, managing my child and the house—I don’t have a minute’s rest. That keeps me active, healthy and on my toes.

Eating Habits I start my day with half a bottle of water: it’s a Japanese therapy where they say at night your mouth creates saliva that is self-healing and can cure any disease that your body incurs, so you should drink it in. That’s what I do. Food wise I am not so fussy. I eat anything and everything under the sun, but in moderation. I love making my own breakfast and that’s the one meal I always look forward. I also try and carry some healthy snacks like almonds and makhanas (fox nuts) apart from my own hot water bottle and tea bags whenever I am on the set. I love to make my own tea.
Spiritual Quotient I do believe in God. I believe in the Guru Granth Sahib but I am not blindly religious. I believe in a superpower and the power of meditation but in my hectic lifestyle when I am in Delhi, meditation is hard to find time for. However, whenever I am on a shoot, I try and do at least five minutes of meditation, chanting Om!
