The essence: We have seen better Jackie Chan escapades which are high on action as well as comedy but this one just bites the dust even before it starts.

There’s too much happening which the eye cannot fathom in the beginning. Lots of special effects with horses and elephants and warriors and bows and arrows! It’s Kitsch time as Kung Fu Yoga begins. Honestly, there is no yoga. The only reason for the word to have been infused into this film would be for the Indian connection.

The dubbing is a tragedy while the movie on the whole is an archaeological disaster. Yes, Jackie Chan plays an archaeologist here.

He is surrounded by a bevy of beauties, both Indian and Chinese who are caught in situations with snakes, lions, hyenas and baddies with knives. But they survive every attack, looking beautiful in the midst of the worst of attacks, and turning every frightening situation into a comic adventure.

We have seen better Jackie Chan escapades which are high on action as well as comedy but this one bites the dust even before it starts. Jackie knows it; he appears disinterested throughout the length of the film.

Sonu Sood displays some Kung Fu finesse and smiles beautifully for the camera. I’m sure he too does not know what he is looking for because suddenly, in the midst of finding that rare treasure he is fighting for, he and the entire cast break into a song, with tons of extras!

Yes, the movie has ended. The Interval is even abrupt!

I went looking for some good kung fu action and some meditative poses. I found none. If you are looking for a rating, there is ‘one’!
