Movie Review: Haider Watching Vishal Bharadwaj’s Haider is like watching a classical concert on stage with ‘live’ musicians. There’s a Violin, Viola and Cello (all stringed instruments from the same family); all these instruments perform in perfect harmony. A flute renders its soulful melody whilst a piano pitches in perfectly to sync in harmony with the rest of the orchestra. When […]

Movie Review: Chak De! India Don’t let the publicity stills, which are plain and simple, keep you out of the theatres. A simply clad Shah Rukh Khan is no advertisement to a big banner like Yashraj Films. But it is this ‘simply clad’ SRK who surpasses himself playing the protagonist. There’s no gloss, nor glamour; no skimpily clad women, nor […]
Bollywood Diaries is a honest film with a great connect, and although the build-up lacks discipline, the movie packs a punch towards the end.
Movie Review: Wazir Let’s give the David his due! Bejoy Nambiar is back to resurrect his image after David, exactly two years later. He wipes the slate clean and rolls the dice out for Wazir, to begin the New Year with a bang for Bollywood. Although the movie has the game of chess as the backdrop, it has nothing to […]
