It’s been over a year-and-a-half since Aisha Sharma made her debut in Bollywood with Satyameva Jayate. Her launch vehicle (read production house) did nothing to promote her, apart from the usual Press Conferences and appearances on reality shows on television. Neither did the plot which was so tackily stitched together: it reminded one of the films of the 90s.

However, there was this one scene with meaning where Aisha, like Manoj Bajpayee, packed a punch with her performance, giving an insight into what she is capable of, given the right role. But alas, roles did not come by. The makers have now announced a sequel and it is a surprise that Aisha’s Shikha is not included in the plot!

Aisha Sharma: Dream Girl redefined…

Aisha is not seen on the filmy party circuit, nor, like her sister Neha, does she belong to any camp. And I’m sure neither is she ‘campaigning’ for any roles. She is content with herself and knows that the Universe will give her what is hers. That’s what sets her apart, apart from her ‘drop dead gorgeous looks’. Methinks Aisha Sharma will be the perfect Bond Girl opposite Hrithik Roshan: they look the perfect pair that will set the screen on fire with action and romance!

Active on Instagram, uploading fun fitness videos, Aisha’s posts are also known to be profound. Today, she posted a quote by Jerry Lorenzo which said: “The biggest loss, in the end, is if we come out on the other side of this unchanged.”

Her note beside it was what was endearing: “Damn straight: If this pandemic doesn’t teach you compassion, kindness, caring and sharing, I don’t think anything else could.”

Way to go, Bond Girl, Aisha Sharma. May the force be with you.
