Bentley recently unveiled the collectors’ version of the new Continental GT at the Geneva International Motor Show to celebrate 100 extraordinary years.
Strictly limited to 100 cars, the striking Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner is inspired by Bentley’s illustrious motorsport past—in particular by Sir Henry ‘Tim’ Birkin’s 4 1⁄2 litre ‘Blower’. This original Bentley Boy was full of entrepreneurial spirit and ambition, and will forever be remembered for the creation of this supercharged racer, and his bravery and skill at Le Mans in 1930.
Birkin’s legendary No.9 racing number adorns the grille of the dynamic Number 9 Edition by Mulliner, and a section of the original wooden seat from his car is displayed within the Bentley Rotating Display in each limited edition car.
There is the option of either Viridian green or Beluga black exterior paint, with 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification wheels also in these colours, plus Black Line Specification and carbon body kit. Inside the Number 9 Edition by Mulliner, customers have the choice of Cumbrian Green or Beluga heritage hides, and debossed ‘B’ logos adorn the seat headrests and door panels as they did on the original door pads of the No.9 ‘Blower’.
