Hardik Pandya has fallen hook, line and sinker at the bait thrown by Karan Johar who sits on the sofa and displays his goofy grin, whilst forcing that fake laughter at lame jokes on his show. If that does not satisfy him, he prods on for more ‘muck’ like he did with Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone around eight years ago trying to bury Ranbir Kapoor whilst asking pertinently puerile questions once he had gauged the ladies had bitten the bait.
This drew the ire of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.
With the recent Hardik Pandya episode, he has drawn the Nation’s ire and that of the bosses in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), towards him.
That is the whole point!
Is Pandya really to be blamed? I mean yes, he spoke crap, was crass and showed his family in poor light when he said, “Main karke aaya hai aaj.” This after he supposedly lost his virginity! I guess his parents would have been proud! That’s an achievement he thought appropriate to speak on national television.
Surprisingly, Karan Johar and the makers of the show thought it appropriate to air the drivel and did not even once think that they should have canned, or edited the episode. (By the way, the content is no longer available. It has been pulled down). Karan, in all probability, thought, he was looking good, spewing those crappy questions!
Why is Karan not being banned by Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA)? I can imagine him laughing, throwing his head back, at Hardik’s ‘Main karke aaya,’ comment.
He should have been aghast! Is this what his show is all about?
Bollywood is just recovering from the #MeToo shock and here is the prince of chat, eliciting sexist comments on his show whilst clearly objectifying women. This is #MeToo of the worst kind and Bollywood should strongly condemn this line of questioning from one of their own who is in search of TRPs for his dying show.
Show some guts guys; catch the bull by its horns. Show Karan the door. What exactly does Karan mean when he asks a question like: “If you all hit on the same women, then how do you decide?”
Wake up and smell the Koffee, Joharsaab!
As for Hardik, he should understand, that success is the best liar. If you don’t have the right support system you can get delusional!
