“Only love is real in this world,” says, Natasha Suri. Here, she is Opening Doorz on her workout routine, eating habits and spiritual quotient…

Workout Routine

I’m not a gym person, but overall, I lead a very active lifestyle. I love to walk. I also do a lot of yoga. I need to thank my parents for the genes and metabolism that keep me in shape organically, which I don’t take it for granted because I’m very careful about the nutrition I provide my body.

Eating Habits

I love food. I live to eat. I’m also conscious of what I put in my body. I don’t drink alcohol or fizzy drinks. I don’t eat red meat. I don’t smoke. Neither do I drink tea or coffee. I love green tea which I keep sipping throughout the day. I also have a continuous intake of fresh vegetable and fruit juices regularly. Moreover, I consume almost two litres of water on an average, daily.

I start my day with a glass of warm water with lime followed by a wholesome breakfast. I do not skip any meals. I generally prefer roti over rice and wrap up my light dinner by 8.30 pm. However, my weakness is desserts. I make sure I balance the calories evenly through the day. I try to maintain a healthy alkaline environment in my body, as the root of most human diseases is an acidic body environment. Good health is our greatest asset.

Spiritual Quotient

I call myself a spiritual being, marveling at the wonders of the universe and nature. The mind plays a very important role in maintaining good health of the body. “You are what you think” is an absolute fact. The root of any physical or mental ailment is a negative thought of worry, stress, insecurity etc. Hence, our mental and emotional fitness is as important as our physical fitness.

Keep the worrying thoughts and ill emotions in check and nip them in the bud. I’m essentially a happy person but there are days when I fret and overthink, but soon I am overtaken by an innate sense of faith. I trust the universe. It’s always working in our favour. Surround yourself with happy, real, affectionate and intelligent people. Strive to be genuinely happy and spread cheer. Life will anyways teach us that only love is real in this entire wide world.

I practice gratitude. I am so thankful for all the blessings and goodness in life and also for all the divine lessons I have learnt. Do good and be a giver. Follow your dreams. I find absolute solace in my home. It’s like a sanctum where I am anchored and at peace. Mine is an all-women’s household of loving, strong and exemplary women. And we were taught and told that there is nothing we, as women, cannot achieve!
