In the past 10 years or so, we have seen star daughters disappear in a flash, their performances falling flat on screen after reams of print space even before the release. Some decided to ‘look better’ and could never face the camera again!

Cherry Mardia and Sagarika Ghatge were two promising girls who had depth in their talent. Unfortunately Cherry could not go beyond Jigariyaa (2014). As for Sagarika Ghatge, she once mentioned to me, “A lot of people were under the impression that I did not want to work in films. Maybe that worked against me…” While Cherry was a fish in the ocean waiting for the right ‘connects’, Sagarika did not ‘communicate’ her goals, admitting she had no PR.

Alizeh Agnihotri will have no such [Cherry-Sagarika] hurdles. She is been blessed with ‘connects’, and a calm head. Moreover, it is her blend of confidence, unconventional beauty, and a balanced understanding of her craft that positions her as a promising newcomer. She has the potential to redefine the standards of success in the film industry.
