Swagata Naik on her workout routine, eating habits and spiritual quotient…

Workout Routine
I don’t really work out but walk every day for an hourI try to take the stairs and consciously be as active as possible. I just get very bored to be honest, to work out in a gym. And I know a lot of people who do. Also, working out in a gym has no mental stimulation for me. I have three dogs and I walk them every day. This is something that is very consistent and I don’t have to break my routine.

Eating Habits
I eat every two hours and have warm water and green tea before and after every meal. I eat all categories of food but avoid salads and sweets post sunset. I have a lifestyle condition called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and that is one of the main reasons that I am very strict with my diet and staying healthy with long walks. I just like how I look after that. I mean, you can’t look better than when you are healthy. My mantra is simple: stay healthy and eat right.

Spiritual Quotient
I don’t stress that easily but when I do, I seek support from friends and play with my dogs. I like to attack the situation logically by asking this very simple question: what’s the worst that can happen? I play out the worst case scenario and that helps me get a perspective. Also chocolate is great at these times! Apart from that I de-stress by playing a lot with my dogs and watching a lot of movies. When I’m watching movies, I’m stress-free.

(Swagata Naik is a multi-faceted personality. She was a practicing lawyer before she pursued her passion for acting. Call for Fun which released in October 2017 was her first Bollywood film.
